Classification of Tourism.
According to KBBI-Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia, Indonesian dictionary Tourism means
activities that related to travel for reaction. Tourism is a human activity
that doing travels “to” and lives or stays temporarily outside of their daily
environtment. Many people traveling on weekend and holiday season, they usually
go out of town and sometimes go out of the country for vacation.
Not only for
vacations, many people also travels for business or business purposes, vamily
gathering, and attending conferences. Usually their travels less than 42 hours.
There’s also people who travel for their mental health needs, for learn, for
spiritual experience and for sport purposes also.
Tourism areas
are also classified in several types, including coastal zone, beach destination
and sites, small island, destination in desert arid areas, mountain
destination, natural and sensitive ecological sites, ecotourism destination,
park and protected areas, communities within or adjacent to protected area,
trail and route, build heritage sites, small and traditional communities, urban
tourism, theme park, water park, cruise ship and their destinations.
